Another band that you need to pay attention to is the Strange Boys (http://strange-boys.com/). Out of Austin, Texas, these guys played a set on the crowded patio at Farm 255. They’re kind of garage, folk, blues, with a little R&B, and hints of Muscle Shoals. They’ve got a similar sound to Babyshambles (www.babyshambles.net) but a lot less messed up and drunk then Pete Doherty. The Strange Boys gave me a similar feeling that I got when I was at the Alabama Shakes show or even the Growlers a few days earlier. I feel like these bands are onto something special, something new, something that the rest of the country will soon be hearing and hearing about.
