Lionz with Sunni Ortiz @ Widespread Panic Practice Space 7 2 12

I was invited to the Widespread Panic rehearsal space to take a few pictures of Domingo ‘Sunny’ Ortiz (Widespread Panic) record his part on the new Lionz CD. Tons of Athens musicians have put their sounds on Jefferson Taffet’s band’s next release. He celebrated his love of freedom and nature by releasing a video on the 4th of July called ‘Hit the Bong’. I would see more members of Widespread Panic this month when I braved a torrential downpour to see the Romper Stompers play at the State Botanical Garden of Georgia. Sunny and Todd Nance of Widespread Panic played with members of Bloodkin and Barbara Cue. It would have been great to see these guys play outside in the gardens, as planned, but the sky opened up and watered mine.
