John Popper came to Athens and visited the Nowhere Bar. He let a few people know he wanted to jam. The place was near empty when I got there but filled up quickly as people heard about the show. But it WAS a Monday night.
I was up front with my camera. He played with Eddie & the Public Speakers, Big C and the Ringers, Betsy Franck and the Bare Knuckle Band, and 3 Foot Swagger.
I was less then 10 feet from him all night long. He was a fantastic musician and a very nice man. He had many shots of liqour. He didn’t miss a beat.
